Business Card's Your Secret Weapon

Business cards have been around for some time now and have been widespread amongst all people with a business to promote. Trade cards were what they used to be called and were also used as a type of advertising and also a map to direct customers to there merchant store. Today business card is something that every business has on hand as it is a important marketing material.

Your card is a powerful tool. Your business cards needs to be designed in such a way as to provide your name, address, contact numbers and list the services you provide in a well designed eye catching way.

When creating a business card with photo try to use glossy paper to ensure once it is printed the card looks as good as what he had on the computer. If you are disappointed with the result of the photo colour gone wrong how can you expect your clients not to be.

A key thing to remember when designing a card with background colour or images is to make sure that all images and text is at least 3mm off the edge of the card. Or that the papers you use have gaps between them this will make up for the unavoidable elusiveness printer paper system. Be warned though printer imprecision's can destroy you business card and you will have to start from the beginning again not forgetting the costs as well.

Time for printing, check that the paper your have selected is compatible to your printer, ink jet and laser printers use different types therefore it is important that you only use the paper that has been recommended for your printer.

Many ways to get your card out there many are handed out during meetings, conventions, tradeshow but you can also place them in with your products, or depending on your business you could send the card amongst the products or staple or tie on to the product that has been gift wrap.

Your business card can be your best salesman and the cheapest for of advertising, always have a few on hand as you never know where your next customer is going to come from. And remember you need to know how to utilize these possibilities to your advantage. - 15246
