Bumper Stickers: A Sure Way To Broaden Your Marketing Reach

By Buck Thompson

Do you know about bumper stickers? It is actually a marketing tool that is easy as well as inexpensive. It is a perfect choice for you if you have target customers at a location, or your customer belongs to a particular category (like moms in the range 25-35). All it costs is about 25 cents per sticker but it gives you a huge amount of profit. Lets discuss it in more details.

Before going into details, lets know what bumper stickers are. A bumper sticker is an adhesive label or sticker with some message. It is attached to the bumper of any vehicle and is supposed to be read by the occupants of other vehicles. Sometimes these are also stuck on other objects.

These stickers attract attention when people go to the parking lot, or when they are following another vehicle and even when they are on road and your car crosses them. They spread your word and create a 'touch point' with all these people and the best part is that you yourself don't even need to be there!

You can get bumper sticker made as per your requirements. Though there are no set rules but you should keep few things in mind. Don't make them too big as then people will refuse to put them on their cars and if it is too small, it will hardly get noticed. You can get them made the way you want.

This flexibility also creates some problems. If your sticker is designed with just your logo or with plenty of text or it oversells your product, it will not be of much help to you. If you really want it to work, it should be able to connect with the customers. Either it should help them in some way or it should be witty and humorous or it should have ideas similar to those people. A perfect one actually helps THEM express themselves.

Your customers are going to feel wonderful when they are expressing themselves by putting your stickers on their bumpers. Use plenty of innovative ideas. The customer consumes you sticker and that's it! You don't need to do anything else to spread your marketing message.

Use tips (beauty tips if you are a beautician) or corroborate your other marketing message using bumper stickers. You can also ride on other trends and fads. E.g. it could be about support to a sports group or various sports groups. You can make a sticker for each of the rival sports group! The same applies to politics as well (like a presidential election) though it's a little more risky.

You can follow some other rules to make your sticker more viral. Making it 'scarce', or making it a status symbol are some examples. People would love to have it then and would feel proud in showing it off. When other people notice it, even they would want it. Don't you think that's cool!

Be careful in using bumper sticker. Use it smartly and with responsibility. It will surely bring you lots of customers and plenty of profits. - 15246
