Daily Hassles Give Birth To Great Business Ideas

By Marvin Orlowski

It's easier than you might think to come up with a business idea that truly makes life easier or better. If you can train yourself to be a more aware person then you have the ability to come up with the next big thing. You don't necessarily have to have a college degree or a genius-level IQ.

You can come up with some great business ideas simply by being more aware of the hassles and problems that riddle daily life. With a greater awareness of inconveniences comes a larger capacity to construct new and creative solutions in your mind. I know for many this is probably a diversion from your normal thought process, but the results might amaze you.

Most people float through their daily routines, enduring the problems and hassles of life with a sort of blind ambivalence. They are just focused on making it through the day. Coming up with creative and new solutions is usually not high on the agenda because we all lead such busy lives.

These folks probably don't realize that if they were to pause for just a few moments and focus whenever a hassle arises, they might arrive at a great business idea that nobody has ever thought of before. Its been said that necessity is the mother of invention, and this is very true. But these inventions or ideas can only sprout from an open and ready mind.

To be more specific, you must make a conscious effort to think of solutions whenever issues arise in your daily routine. If a task takes too long, think of how it could be done quicker. If a chore becomes something you dread, brainstorm ways to make it easier or less complicated.

As an example, small service companies are springing up all over the nation to address the annoyance of yard pet waste. Picking up doggy doo is typically not a pet owner's favorite chore because it takes up valuable time and is gross. The interesting thing to note, though, is that people had been doing it on their own for decades before someone had the presence of mind to make a business out of it.

Along a similar vein, look no further than the GPS dog collar as a great product idea that arose from a familiar problem. Who among us hasn't lost a dog or known someone who has? Yet only recently did someone have the level of reflection required to recognize that this was an inconvenience that could be easily addressed with modern technology.

In conclusion, if you want to have a great business idea then you must come to grips with the fact that it will most likely arrive when you have a mind that is open to innovation. In broader terms, it's about having a more positive and optimistic outlook on life. If you can approach daily inconveniences as chances for growth and advancement then you can have a real shot at stumbling across the next big thing. - 15246
